What’s Missing? Your Floor Plan Could Be Hurting Certain Areas of Your Life

Have you taken a look at your floor plan? A lot of Philadelphia homes have missing sections in the layout of the homes, especially if your home was built in the early 1900’s. The homes in Philly in this time period were built with breezeways on one side of the row home. Some homes have the breezeways connecting the front and back of the house but most only go halfway to the home’s footprint creating a missing section.

For example, my home has a breezeway on the south west side of the home which in the Feng Shui Bagua represents the love and marriage section. This wasn’t good for us so I had to remedy the section using two-inch round mirrors. This is a remedy I need to apply to a fair amount of my clients in Philadelphia.

I had a client who had recently purchased a condo and she shared with me in her intake form that when she moved in her boyfriend and her began to argue. I asked her to send me the floor plan and intructed her on how to take a compass reading for her unit. She sent them over and I immediately noticed the missing section and said, “I bet that is her love and marriage section!!” Sure enough it was and by the time we met her and her boyfriend were already broken up! I helped her with remedying the missing section and gave her some tips on attaching love with Feng Shui. She implemented the remedies and two weeks later they had rekindled their relationship.
